Susan Miller

Ballet

“Miss Susan” founded and directed the Chestnut Hill School of Ballet for 25 years after teaching in the professional division of The School of the Pennsylvania Ballet. She completed a five year teaching apprenticeship under Inessa Alexandrovich of the Bolshoi School of Ballet in Moscow.

She teaches the Vaganova Method which endows the student with exemplary control and articulation through the upper body and arms. Equal emphasis is placed on the development and coordination of legs, port de bras, head and back. The technical strength of these four elements coupled with attention to artistic expression effectively prepares each student for performance.

We are thrilled to have Miss Susan on staff!
