Dear Dancers and Parents,
Welcome to all of our new and returning dancers! We have quite an exciting year ahead. Classes begin tomorrow, Tuesday, September 6, and we cannot wait for you this year of dance at A2D. Please be sure to check our website for any schedule changes. Our Dancer Manual is attached below in downloadable form. Please take time to read through the manual. Everything from dress code to weather cancellations to dancer and parent etiquette is included in this manual. Please discuss the contents of the manual with your dancer if they are too young to read it themselves. A copy of the Dancer Manual is always kept in the Parent Lounge. Whether you’re brand new or returning, here are a few key points:
1. Miss Aubrey & Miss Deirdre are the owners and partners in the business. We are both available to all dance parents and dancers at any time for questions and concerns of any kind.
2. We communicate almost entirely via email. An weekly newsletter will be sent out weekly which will contain pertinent news and information for that week. Please at least open and browse the newsletter to see if any news pertains to your dancer.
3. We adhere to our dress code. If your child is in ballet, they MUST arrive to class in a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, with hair in a bun. Black skirts or black booty shorts optional. We do carry all items necessary for our dress code at our store, Bella’s Dance Shop (except shoes).
4. Please utilize our website. It is updated with all current information (schedule, dress code, news, etc.) Please note that on the calendar section on the home page, the event happening THAT DAY will disappear. For instance, ‘September 6 – First Day of Classes’ will run every day UNTIL the 6th, and then it will disappear, NOT showing ON the 6th. _______________________________________
We have MANY exciting events planned for the year, and our first is coming up RIGHT away! Several classes have been chosen to perform just one month into the season at Ambler’s Oktoberfest, October 1! Dancers will be notified at their class, and we’ll also send additional information in the next email. We hope to see everyone at this fun Ambler event!

A2D Important Dates & Studio Closings 2011-2012
*After the year end survey, it was the consensus of the dance families to be closed on days school was closed. We followed this rule in most cases. We opted to stay open on Columbus Day, and close on Halloween, knowing the majority of dancers would be out enjoying trick or treating that night.
September 6 – First Day of Classes
October 1 – Oktoberfest 10 am
October 2 – Oktoberfest (rain date) 10 am
October 31 – A2D CLOSED HALLOWEEN
