PICTURE REMINDER…

A2D picture days are this Saturday and Sunday (May 5 & 6).  
CLICK HERE for the picture schedule.  Please arrive, dressed in costume and ready, 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.  
Hair is your choice – off the face is best.  Makeup is light – just enough to bring out features in the photography lighting, but still youthful and fresh.  
A $20 deposit check or cash is required and will be used toward your dancer’s photography purchase.  
Picture proof dates are Tuesday, May 15 (1:30 -8:00 pm) and Wednesday, May 16 (4:00-8:00).  There is no schedule for proofing.   Stop in at your convenience.
All classes are canceled for Saturday, with the EXCEPTION of Miss Karen’s 9:00 & 10:00 am tap classes, which will run at their regular time. 
Please check in with staff in the front lobby upon arrival.

ROUTINES IN PINK ARE COMPANY ROUTINES AND WILL NOT RUN 

AT DRESS REHEARSAL.  

 

*All VOLUNTEERS & CLASS MOMS* – Please meet at 2:00 pm outside the auditorium lobby doors of the Abington Senior High. We will go over the task assignments and give out the volunteer t-shirts. These shirts must be worn at dress rehearsal and recital.  They are your “passes” into and around the auditorium area both days, and make you easy for the dancers to recognize.

 

***A couple of routines were omitted from the original list, and one routine is being moved slightly in order.  These routines are:

DANCING WITH DISNEY 
Please read the following information carefully.
DRESS REHEARSAL, SATURDAY, JUNE 2 - 
Dress rehearsal is DROP OFF.  All dancers will be checked in at the Abington Senior High lobby with our staff and our volunteers will take the dancers to their class area and class chaperone.  If your dancer is in MORE THAN ONE DANCE, you MUST inform the check in person of this.  Their additional costume(s) must be on a hanger with any additional accessories/tights/shoe change (in an attached bag is best) – ALL MARKED WITH DANCER’S NAME! 
***Unless you are a class parent or recital volunteer, you will not be allowed in the theatre.  If you are worried about your child being upset about being apart from you, you are welcome to wait outside the school, and leave your mobile number with our check-in person.  We will call with any problems. There is no other option for us, as making an exception for one parent means making an exception for all.***
For dress rehearsal –  please note the time to come for your child.  For efficiency of our rehearsal, please arrive at this time.  We will provide simple snacks (pretzels) and water at the dress rehearsal and day of recital.  Please make sure your dancer has eaten a healthy meal the day of rehearsal/performance.   We will also have coloring pages and crayons for the dancers.  If you choose to send in any electronic devices with your dancer (i.e. – D.S., iPods, etc.) – A2D is not responsible for the safety of these items.  Please make sure anything sent is marked with the dancer’s name.
For recital, no dancers will be released prior to the end of the show! At the end of the recital, you can come for your child  in the rear rows of the theatre, seated by class. Unless you have arranged an early departure with Miss Aubrey or Miss Deirdre (ONLY), your child will NOT be let go by their class chaperone.  This is for the safety of your child.  Also, PLEASE remain in your seats during the recital. Especially for the younger dancers, having a parent come to the seats, or backstage causes a lot of disruption for the class (“why isn’t MY mom/dad here?”, etc.)   We have plenty of staff and volunteers in place to care for the dancers and their needs for this time.  Our wish is for you to enjoy the show!  
There will be NO classes the week between dress rehearsal and recital. 
DAY OF RECITAL, SATURDAY, JUNE 9 - 

All dancers in 11:30 show must be checked in at Abington High School by 10:15 am.  All dancers in 3:00 show must be checked in by 2:15 pm. If you could assist us by taking your child to the restroom before checking him/her in, we would really appreciate it.

Beginning Friday, May 4 at 8:00 am
families will be able to access a link on the front page of our website (www.A2Dance.com), and select, purchase and print their tickets.  
Recital tickets are assigned seating at a first come, first serve basis.  
The first five rows in the lower sections will be offered as preferred seating at $23 per seat per show.  All general seating will cost $19 per ticket (per show) or $28 per ticket for viewing both shows.

Wednesday, May 9 is the final day to get in your dancer’s picture ad or text shout out!  Miss Deirdre is happy to take your dancer’s photo in class.

Recital DVDs
We are now taking orders for “Dancing With Disney” DVDs at the front desk. The DVDs feature chaptering of each routine, and a feature which allows playback on iPads and tablets.  High Definition DVDs may be purchased for viewing on BluRay players.  ”Dancing With Disney” DVDs will be returned to the studio and available to pickup during our Summer Intensive (July)!
Orders are being taken now at the front desk – payment via cash or checks payable to A2D.  DVD orders will be taken up to the day of recital.

RECITAL FLOWERS!!!
Want to congratulate your special dancer?  We’ll be offering recital bouquets on June 9.  Available for purchase will be single wrapped roses for $6, mixed bouquets for $12 and mixed bouquets with roses for $15 – while supplies last!

HAIR & MAKEUP!!!
Nervous about getting your dancer “stage ready”? 
Maria Fabiani, owner of Salon Envy and mother of A2D dancers Nisa and Zina Fabiani, is offering up her services for the second year (along with her associates).  We are taking appointments for recital day hair and makeup, to be done at Abington High School.  Take the stress off!
Hair (Bun) or Makeup Only:  $10
Both:  $15
You MUST sign up at the front desk prior to dress rehearsal.  
Payment must be made via cash or check (to A2D) in advance.
