Recital is just a few short days away!
We are very pleased with the way our first all drop-off dress rehearsal
went last Saturday.
Here are a few notes of adjustment that need to be made before the curtain raises on these excited dancers!
Make sure all dancers are ready for their routine
when checked in.
- RESTROOM RUN!
- DANCE SHOES ON! - Drop off ready to dance, NO BAGS!
- NO JEWELRY! - Only jewelry should be costume accessories or dance earrings (at front desk).
- Once kids are checked in, please leave them be with class moms/teachers – (INCLUDING INTERMISSION)!
Check In -
Please check your dancer in the hall of the front lobby:
SHOW 1 – 10:15 am
SHOW 2 – 2:00 pm
Check Out -
Your dancer may NOT be dismissed DURING the show unless previously arranged with Miss Aubrey or Miss Deirdre. NO on the spot dismissals will be granted by class moms. This is for the safety of your child. Parents should come to the back rows of the auditorium to check their dancer out at the end of the recital.
Hair -
Dancer’s hair needs to be in a TIGHT bun.
There were a lot of buns falling out
and becoming very loose at dress rehearsal.
HAIR & MAKEUP SCHEDULE:

Please arrive at or slightly ahead of the time listed for your dancer. If the dancer is scheduled AFTER 10:15 am or 2:00 pm check-ins, please inform the class mom/teacher they are scheduled for hair/makeup, and we’ll have a volunteer deliver them to this area.
Hair/Makeup station will be in rear (dressing room) hallway.
NO VIDEO TAPING OR FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY! The shows are being professionally videotaped. These DVDs must be ordered PRIOR to recital. (There will be no additional copies ordered for sale afterward.) A DVD sale table will be present at recital to place your order. Personal videotaping can interrupt other audience members also trying to watch the show, and the lighting will not come out properly.
Flash photography is highly distracting to the dancers.
YEAR END MEDALS -
Most classes are receiving their year end achievement medals this week. Anyone who has not received theirs can pick it up at the GEAR/MERCHANDISE table upon arrival or leaving recital.
TICKETS -
Online ticket sales have ended. We do have tickets available for both shows. All available tickets will be at a ticketing table at recital.
LOST -
Black digital watch with silver face. Missing from studio since last Wednesday. If you see it or find it has fallen into your dance bag, please bring it to the front desk – an A2D dancer would really appreciate it!
A2D Company Auditions -
We are holding a second date of auditions, for any dancers who were unable to attend yesterday’s auditions.
Wednesday, June 20
7:00-7:30: 8-12 year Hip Hop
7:30-8:00: 8-12 year Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Ballet
8:00-8:30: 8-12 year Tap
8:30-9:00: 13+ Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Ballet
