Thirty Addicted 2 Dance students along with over fifty parents and family members spent last weekend in New York City, taking in the sights and kicking up their heels – literally.
For the third year, A2D owners Aubrey Conley and Deirdre Lindsay accompanied students to the Tremaine Dance Convention. Half the group took in the Broadway hit “Newsies” on Friday night. The show, featuring a large cast of multi-talented young male dancers, earned the Tony Award last year for Best Choreography.
Saturday and Sunday were filled with dance classes led by the phenomenal Tremaine staff, this year featuring Tremaine alumni and SYTYCD star Tiffany Maher. Many A2D students, staff and parents were excited to capture pictures with the instructors. Saturday afternoon free time was spent relaxing, walking around the city, and just bonding as teammates. On Saturday night, most of the crew met for dinner in Grand Central Station.
When everyone returned Sunday evening, a good time had been had by all, new outlines and steps had been learned by the dancers, and we all knew a little more about each other.
This coming weekend, more A2D dancers head to the ASH Convention in Philadelphia. This trip finishes a three-week convention marathon for Addicted 2 Dance!
