The Addicted 2 Dance Company Competition Team travels to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida this coming June to perform in front of Mickey, Minnie, friends, family and vacationers alike.
This will be the Ambler Dance School’s debut performance in Disney’s Youth Performing Arts Programs. Disney has a “magical” program in place to allow students from all around the world to come and shine on one of their many Disney Stages, whether they be dance studios, marching bands, vocal ensembles or theatre troupes.
Our participating dancers, more than 30, will be entertaining the crowd at Downtown Disney, performing a 25-minute show. The team, comprised of dancers age 7-19, will dance to a montage of upbeat and family-friendly songs, perfect for a Disney audience!
In addition to their stage performance, the group will also participate in a workshop given by Disney performers. Our older dancers will participate in the Dancin’ Disney workshop. The workshop will give our students the chance to experience life as a professional Disney Dancer in a fun, upbeat and positive atmosphere. Our students will begin with a simulated Disney audition taught by a professional Disney performer. Our younger dancers will take the Dancin’ Disney - Young Performers Edition workshop. Our dancers will start by examining memorable Disney dancing on film before moving into a quick warm-up, utilizing current skills. Through a simulated rehearsal of a Disney show, students then learn how the magic is created!
The competition team is holding several FUNdraisers throughout the season to help offset costs for this exciting trip. Please show your support for this hardworking group when and where you can.
